ZoNoH Prevents zoonoses by fostering collaboration in the food system.

ZoNoH – Lowering risks of zoonoses in the food system

By utilising One Health and Food System approaches, ZoNoH develops practical, locally adapted strategies for identifying, preventing, and managing zoonotic diseases within the food system, aiming for improved health outcomes and sustainable development.

ZoNoH represents a proactive response to the urgent need for coordinated action in preventing zoonotic diseases and averting future pandemics. By combining the principles of One Health and Food System approaches, ZoNoH offers a comprehensive and practical solution to the complex challenges posed by zoonoses in Kenya’s food system. Through collaborative efforts and evidence-based interventions, ZoNoH aims to empower decision-makers, strengthen community resilience, and build a healthier, more sustainable future for all.

ZoNoH aims to achieve this by:

1

Creating a comprehensive service that can manage a variety of zoonotic risks in different food systems.

2

Implement the ZoNoH service into the routine practices of the implementing partners’ service to better manage zoonotic risks.

3

Expand ZoNoH to other Kenyan COHUs and other countries lacking zoonotic risk management resources.
